I just wanted to comment how much I appreciated reading the articles on this page, from the Principles of being a mum, to the various stresses involved in bringing order and routine into little lives, through to saying a 'goodbye' when they go off to college. I enjoyed the articles not because they ring any bells, though I am sure that they do for many readers, but because being an approaching ancient spinster, it gives me an insight into what it is really like having the responsibility of upbringing. Because the ladies were so transparently honest, I really know what it is like for them. It means I can relate to them with that understanding, even be there for them in more appropriate ways.
It meant for me too, that they have discovered principles that hold true throughout life. We all at some stage have responsibility for someone else, so we too need a reasonable night's sleep, some routines and order, we too have times when we say 'goodbye', it would be nice to think we have and take the opportunity to share the ups and downs as these ladies have done.

I also appreciated reading the articles about letting go and being a Mum. I thought they were very honest and gave good advise when especially as sometimes you feel like you are the only person in the world who has difficult days and sometimes thats just normal and as expected. Every family will not be the same but its good to read about what its like in someone else's family. I liked the articles
